Welcome to Dosbarth Melyn’s web page where you can find out about all the exciting things we will be doing this term and throughout the remainder of this school year.

I am Miss Nixon, the class teacher, and I work with Miss Keepings, our class teaching assistant. If you have any concerns or issues, please see either one of us at the door and we will be more than happy to help you.

This term our topic is ‘A Walk Through Time’. This is a Humanities based topic and will focus in on how life was back in the Victorian era. We are looking forward to making comparasons between how they lived then and how we live today. 

We are still doing lots of outdoor learning this year. Please can children come into school in old clothes every Wednesday for Welly Wednesdays. It is important that you put your children in clothes that you do not mind getting wet or dirty! With the cold weather in mind ensure that they are dressed appropriately with coats, hats and gloves. 

Don’t forget your book bags every week – hand them in on a Friday to be changed and sent back out on a Monday for the week ahead. Reading is vitally important, so if this can be done at home, even for 5 or 10 minutes per day, that would support your child immensely on their learning journey.

P.E. will be on a Monday, appropriate clothes and footwear to be worn on that day please.
